This is a competitive curling program. Athletes participate in bonspiels during the season where minimum travel is required to neighbouring cities and towns. The program is fun but it is also challenging because of the complexity of the sport, curling etiquette, club rules and requirements, and the safety element of playing on ice. Athletes' skills and suitability are assessed before they can register for this program.

Athletes and Volunteers new to Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) must first register with SOO. Athletes and Volunteers must be enrolled in the current session of a program in order to participate.
