Volunteering with Special Olympics in Oakville

Our programs could not be run without a whole army of amazing volunteers.

To volunteer with us you must be 14 years or older and registered with Special Olympics Ontario.

If you are over the age of 18 you must also submit an original copy of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check done for the area in which you live. You may now submit a request for this police check online. There will be a charge, please keep the receipt as you can be reimbursed for this cost.

Sport Clubs

Each sport club requires a head coach and coaching staff. In addition each club usually requires a club manager. Many clubs also need volunteers for such jobs as equipment manager and fundraising coordinator.

Oakville SOO Community Council

Our sports clubs are supported and coordinated by an active community council. Among other things the council is responsible for the administration of clubs within our community and is active in fundraising and in public relations.

Our council is looking for a volunteer to fill the position of Community Fundraising Coordinator.
